David Bowie was a massive inspiration and someone I looked up to on such a personal level. During my early teen years I was stuck in a bit of a pit, not really knowing who I was or what I was doing. It was during a school play that I first heard ‘Starman’ and I remember thinking at the time “this song is really weird, who is it?” It was something I’d never heard the likes of before and I was hooked from there. He’s been a huge inspiration for a lot of shoots, his eccentric looks and individuality has really had a massive impact on me.

  1. Can you tell us about your roots, about growing up?

I had a pretty normal life growing up, it was only when I got to my teenage years I seemed to rebel a bit. I didn’t enjoy going to school but I had a crazy love for art and drama which I feel has had an impact in my modelling. The art side coming into play for coming up with new creative ideas and the acting to help portray different characters at each shoot for different looks.

     2. What was your childhood / teenage dream? What did you wanna to become?

One thing that was consistent was that I always wanted to work with animals, a zoo keeper or a vet, but the opportunity wasn’t there for me. It was when I had a photo shoot on a family holiday with my two sisters that I realized I loved being in front of the camera, the photographer took a lot of photos of me on my own and it just cake so natural to me.

3.Any idols during the teenage period?

  4. When did you start with modeling? Can you recall your first photo session?

My experience with modeling has been a crazy one, my first experience with modeling was when I worked for an agency, so I wasn’t actually behind the camera. Back in 2012 I started admin work at a local model agency and slowly worked my way up to being a model booker for them, working directly with Louis Vuitton and scouting models for them. I did my first photo shoot with them, but it wasn’t something was particularly looking at getting into then. Late on in 2016, I did my first shoot, a boudoir style shoot with a local photographer. It was a great shoot and the photographer was fantastic, but that style wasn’t for me. I gave it a break for a few months, but I picked it back up in February of 2017 and after striking up a friendship with the owner of the studio I shot at, the work started pouring in and word started to spread in a positive way about my individuality and creative style.

 5. What kind of modeling do you prefer?

I mainly focus on fashion modeling, but not just basic stuff. I love the high fashion and editorial looks, but my creativity isn’t stopped by this, fashion doesn’t have to be boring, doesn’t have to be basic. I like to be given the freedom to try out different poses and styles. I’m hypermobile so the poses and shapes I can create receive praise and positive comments from photographers and models alike. I just like to create beautiful and interesting images that intrigue people and make them want to know and see more.

 6. Your most interesting photo session?

My most interesting shoot was definitely a glitter/body paint shoot. I spent 3/nearly 4 hours being prepped and painted and covered in glitter. I felt like a crazy alien princess and the end results were amazing! The shoot was a club session so there were 8 photographers on 2 different sets who each had 5 minutes to get the best shot. I love this working style as the pressure is on both them and me to get the best possible image in a short amount of time. I’ve found some of my best images have come from these club sessions and it’s a great way to meet new photographers and plan future shoots.

7.Who is in charge when it comes to Makeup and hairstyle?

I’ve always done my own hair and makeup on my shoots, I’ll plan for weeks in advance what I’m going to do to make sure it’s perfect. Of course the only time I’m not in charge is when I’ve done work for makeup artists, and my younger sister recently helped out at a club shoot I did for my birthday as she had looks she wanted to try out that she hadn’t been able to do before. I’ll always tell the photographer what I’m planning with my hair and makeup so they know what to expect when I show up to a shoot.

    8. What would be your advice to young girls who would like to start modeling career?

My advice to anyone looking to start out modeling, whether they’re younger, older, female, male; never work above your levels! If you’re not comfortable with a certain style, a certain concept or idea, never do it because you feel you have to or you feel pressured to. I don’t do lingerie or nude work and many times I’ve tried to be pushed into doing this, you just have to stay strong and remain true to yourself! Of course, you always have to be safe, so make sure you research a photographer if you’re unsure of them, ask them who they’ve worked with recently and get a reference from the model to ensure they’re the genuine thing, never be made to feel bad about asking for this. If a photographer isn’t happy with you asking for references, question this with yourself, if they’re legit, they won’t get upset with you asking for this.

 9. What kind of art, in general, do you like?

I’ve been going through a phase lately where I have a mad crazy love for erotic art, Petites Luxures’ work mesmerises me, I just have so much appreciation for the hidden images in their work. I also love the work of Violeta Venganza and Bailey Illustration.

 10. Any hobbies?

My main hobby is modeling. Though it’s something I’d love to take up full time, I am still in a position that I need to have a 9-5 job. I suppose in relation to other hobbies, is binging Netflix and spending hours and hours on GTA V classed as hobbies?

  11. plans for 2018 ?

I plan to really get into it for my second year of modelling. I want to come up with bigger and better ideas of images to create and I want to work with even more people and different creatives. I’d like to work with more people who have ideas they’d like to create too! I’m very open to things anyone would like to try as long as it’s in line with my levels. The main thing  is I just want to have fun and carry on loving what I do!
