Chloe - when you model, you have more power in the court than you know

Body confidence, however, is a tricky topic as everyone’s bodies and responses to them are different.  It takes years for most people to love themselves and appreciate themselves, and that’s okay.  These things take time and I spent many years wanting to tear off my own skin as I hated a lot of things about myself, and oddly enough, most of the features I was picked on about are now contributions to why photographers book me for shoots! (I’m one of the few active models with light olive skin and dark hair, naturally curly hair in Exeter).   Although remember – any form of stress can impact on your body as well and lack of self-care as a result of stress can change your body, this is usually hit or miss so just keep that in mind.

Can you remember, when you used to be a teenager, what did you want to be when you grow up?

No, not really.  Funnily enough I felt very confused about where I saw myself because in primary school, I actually wanted to be a clown and had the intentions for wanting to make people laugh and smile but I was bullied about it when I spoke up about it.  After that, I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted to be.

When did you start to think about modelling and when have you done your first photo session?

I always spent time in front of the camera as my mum was a hobbyist photographer, but I made a conscious effort to model myself on the 23rd of March for a charity competition, I made my portfolio on purpleport not long after that!  My first official photoshoot was in April 2019 I think with a photographer called Photofervor at his friend Dave’s studio.

Can you recall the feeling during the photo session? What was a theme of the photo session?

I was very nervous and very, very excited at the same time!  It was an exhilarating experience and it felt very liberating, I had just come out of a break-up and shooting with Keith was a big confidence booster for me!

When have you decided that you will continue with modelling?

When I saw myself through a different lens that wasn’t biased (I love my mum but I’m sure she’ll always say nice things about me.) and that was when I knew I wanted to take these endeavours further and see where I can go with it all.

How would you describe your modelling career so far?

I’d define it as exciting; I shoot two to three times a week and some are just for images/portfolio refreshers and some are more than that such as collaborations and creative themed shoots!  I’ve been published over 40 times now in magazines and sites, and it hasn’t stopped yet!

You have a lot of lingerie photo sessions - is that your favourite style?

Yes, it really is, I ran a lingerie aesthetics blog at 18 and I always have had an interest in sensuality.

Tell us more about your ink - when did you start with tattoos and can you tell us the meaning of them?

I have over fifteen tattoos and I have actually had to make note of them now, so I do not have to always look around for them ahaha.  I think the best way to express their meanings is to just categorise them as such. I always my tell my friends that all my tattoos are personal extensions of me and are physical representations of little facts about me.

Game inspired: I have a big thigh piece related to Pokemon and a quote from the Persona game series, these are a few of my favourite games so far.  Pokemon has had the biggest impact on my childhood, considering it came out around my year of birth (1996) and Persona, I love the game concept and the story it tells.

Music inspired: I am a massive fan of Halsey and my tattoos would definitely show that.  I have ‘Eastside’ lyrics on my arm and lyrics from ‘Heaven in Hiding’ on my side.  I also have ‘Love <3 Evol’ I on my arm as well, I spent a lot of my sixth form listening to Marina while she was known as Marina and the Diamonds.  I also have two black birds on my collar bone that represent “Blackbirds” by Alter Bridge, one of my favourite songs.

Inspired by hobbies/interests: I’m really into star signs, my own is Capricorn and I have that on my wrist, I have the planets on my arm as well; as well as the phases of the moon.  As celestial topics such as astrology and astronomy really fascinate me.  I’m also a Wiccan and a spiritualist, that is represented by the ‘triquetra’ on my wrist, which represents what is needed to have balance.  I also have the number 15 in roman numerals on the back of my ear to represent the Devil Arcana of the tarot cards, again it ventures back into my interest of spirituality and wicca.

Affirmations: I have the term ‘I am enough’ on my rib.  I think that is pretty self-explanatory I think.  I also have a semi-colon on my wrist, to signify my story isn’t over yet for when I have dark and negative thoughts.
Aesthetics:
I have carnations on the centre of my chest as they are my favourite flowers, I also have two heart tattoos: one on my arm and one on my rib – the one on my arm is red and matches Blonde Travels and it’s basically our contract to being close for the rest of our lives.

Television show inspired: I have the Planetary Symbols on my arm as well, this is inspired by the television series Sailor Moon, one of my favourite Animes ever, focuses on female empowerment and friendships!

A good friend of mine called Sam is designing my new tattoo, but I’ll keep that one a secret for now but let me just say it’s in its draft stage and it’s looking awesome!

OnlyFans account. Lots of models opened that account. When did you decide to start with OnlyFans ? What kind of photos do you prefer to post at that acc? When it comes to photos & videos, do you listen to your followers - like what they would love to see from you? So many questions when it comes to OnlyFans acc ????

I started Onlyfans within the last year, but I also use Just For Fans (which I have used on and off for two and have only recently got back into using).  I post a variety of images; mostly self-shot sets however I have recently been collaborating and working with professional photographers to create gorgeous sets at good quality!   A lot of my subscribers give me advice and tend to like the work I do, and when they make requests, I do my best to get as close to their vision to make it worth their while.   I agree!  It’s definitely opened up a whole can of worms as it’s still relatively new to social media!

What was your experience with people close to you when you opened OnlyFans or NSFW Twitter account?

I have actually personally blocked most people from there, so they don’t feel forced to see me in that manner, just out of respect.  But a lot of my close friends and family don’t necessarily care and support what I do, just to make sure I take care of myself as it’s quite a risky field to be in.

You are very open when it comes to modelling and presenting the beauty of your body to people. Can you give some advice to girls who would love to start nude art photos or OnlyFans account, but they are afraid of the reaction from the people next to them? Family, friends. How to love your body and build a self-confidence.

To some extent, yes I can be open but one of the things a lot of models seem to forget that it’s up to them what they choose to do, it’s a choice and isn’t something that has to be done.  But it’s quite a risky field, so I advise to be confident: know your craft, know your niches and specialties and what you want to achieve from the site.  But also, just remember that self esteem is a very obvious feature most of the time and you can tell by the way they present themselves if they feel insecure or not.   For shoots specifically, take baby steps – you do fashion, then maybe take something off and see how you feel.  If it does not feel right, go back to square one.  These are things you have the most power over, when you model, you have more power in the court than you know.  I personally don’t shoot art nude but a few of the models I know of and have worked with all did nude and higher leveled work when they were ready

I also think the latter point also applies when to discuss things with your family.  I personally didn’t tell my mum and posted them straight to social media, when people would ask her about them all, she reminded them that at the end of the day, I’m 21, not 12 and shouldn’t be spoken about as such.  But it’s all about when you’re ready to address these things when you’re ready.  Being proud doesn’t necessarily have to be out and open but letting them know will enable them to support you when it comes to obstacles such as bullying, harassment, or cases like leaking content and copy right infringement.

Platforms like OnlyFans or Chaturbate, are great ones because you work for yourself, you are safe & you are in charge of everything. What is your opinion about this subject?

I had only recently come to terms with dealing with sexual abuse trauma within the industry, so Onlyfans has allowed me to express myself in ways I cannot for shoots.  And it allows me to have the sense of security I need to create adult level content, however I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s fully safe as there are some complications and issues that constantly occur with those type of sites – people need to do their research before they join.

What kind of photo sessions you have not done but you would like to do?

I have a variety of ideas I want to shoot and create over the year.  I want to venture more into alternative style shoots, fetish/BDSM erotica, Boheme/Bohemian sets (I have one planned soon with the beautiful Tamara Raw), vintage pieces, more cosplays, honestly the themes and concepts are endless!

Plans for the rest of 2020

Finish my degree, do some touring, go back to see my parents soon and hopefully plan my first abroad tour!  So, keep an eye out!
