Nicole - Boudoir can still be very sexy even without showing lots of skin or overly provocative poses. It’s all in the attitude

I still have my moments of self-consciousness, its only normal.  My best advice is to pretend you are a character, wear a wig, change your makeup, etc… Creating a fantasy persona is key to coming out of your shell.  There is something magical about dressing in gorgeous lingerie, sky high heels, and dramatic makeup, and a stunning wig that take you into a fantasy world that makes you feel like a goddess.  Your confidence will be elevated and this will come across in your photos.  Practice posing in front of a mirror to get your angles right and understand what poses flatter your figure the most.  Confidence will come as you do it more and more. But remember to go only as far as you are comfortable with.  Boudoir can still be very sexy even without showing lots of skin or overly provocative poses. It’s all in the attitude.  Only pose how you like.

Can you tell us about your roots, about growing up.

I grew up in NY. Very basic normal boring childhood.  I loved school and was a good student.

What was your childhood / teenage dream ? What did you wanna to become ?

I’ve always loved fashion and dreamed of being a supermodel as a child. My mom took me to agencies but I was too short and not skinny enough.

Any idols during the teenage period ?

I was a huge fan of Madonna and absolutely idolized her and her style.  I later transitioned to grunge and alternative music.

When did you start with modeling ? Can you recall your first photo session ?

I’ve only just started modeling less than a year ago.  Experimented with Boudoir photography and created an IG page to share it with others and I had no idea it would be so well received.

Do you like to be in charge when it comes to your outfit or do you let it to the photographer / brand?

I always have a say in what I wear and I hope to keep that going as I begin to work with more photographers and brands. If I don’t feel confident in what I’m wearing, it will show in my photos.  Definitely know that from experience so far.

You are an amazing lingerie / boudoir model. Can you tell us about your point of view when it comes to good lingerie / boudoir photos ? How picky you are, what makes you most feminine / sexy so you can do your best in front of the camera?

The lingerie needs to make you feel amazing and it needs to accentuate your assets and camouflage the parts you are less confident about. This will empower you the most and let you shine in front of the camera.  It doesn’t have to be expensive lingerie, it just has to fit right and make you feel good in your skin.  It’s also important to communicate with your photographer and let them know what you are expecting out of the session.  Look at their portfolio and point out specific images of how you want to be portrayed so you are both on the same page with expectations.

Plans for the rest of 2021.

I’d love to continue growing my IG/social media following and would love to work with more brands.

Social media accounts so people can see your work.

I only have my IG @modern.ilford for the moment
