Karenzio - proud & brave next SC girl

Three years ago, I won a membership for Suicide Girls not as a model, so one of the girls asked me for a session but I wasn’t interested, few months later my best friend encoraged me to shoot the set, I accepted and we shot at his place. It was pretty smooth, I didn’t feel embaraced or uncomfortable, the only issue was that I always show my toungue when someone takes a picture, so I had to fight with that “tic”. After few ours we finished and it was just ok, I really got amaced when my set was accepted. But THE photo session was 3 months after that. I was training to lose weight and dyied my hair. I think it was my best momento as far as I know. And I practiced a lot in my bed, in front of a mirror possing and playing with my body.

My mom is a graphic designer from Mexico City and my dad is a graphic designer, as well, from a small town, where the subway wagons were made, called Sahagun; so my educations was half traditional half big city like. I grew up in a small town called Pachuca in the state of Hidalgo (Mexico) and it was pretty cool being a kid there cause it was very peaceful. I was always playing on the streets with my sister and the other kids from our hood. We had some videogames but it was better when we were riding our bikes or going to the forest near from us with my father. I was so“sporty” in that time. I practiced basketball, soccer, hiking, climbing, and I was always on my bike.

What was your childhood / teenage dream ? What did you wanna to become ?

I guess I wanted to be a chef at firts, but when I was 7 years old I remember being with my sister watching tv and I saw a tattooed person for the first time on my life, it was Kat Von D on Miami Ink and I thought she was the most elegant women I ever saw so from then until now I wanted to become a tattoo artist

Any idols during the teenage period ?

Oh yeah, my idols were Daria Morgendorffer, Avril Lavigne, Travis Barker, Harry Potter, Chester Bennington, Tony Hawk and my two cousins Rafael and Cesar. I think I’m a strange combination of all of them excpet for Tony Hawk cause I suck at skateboarding.

When did you start with modeling ? Can you recall your first photo session ?

It was three years ago, I won a membership for Suicide Girls not as a model, so one of the girls asked me for a session but I wasn’t interested, few months later my best friend encoraged me to shoot the set, I accepted and we shot at his place. It was pretty smooth, I didn’t feel embaraced or uncomfortable, the only issue was that I always show my toungue when someone takes a picture, so I had to fight with that “tic”.  SG hopeful. What does it takes to be a part of Suicide Girls models ?

Well it’s a hard work. Not only cause there are a lot of girls that want to be part of the site, its hard because regular bodies don’t sell as much as a 90-60-90 model so you have to put extra effort on the shots, the composition, the sexiness. I think the sets have to be perfect, the lingerie, the attitude, colors, light… But mainly it takes attitude, you have to own your style, your clothes and your body. Once you feel that “I’m the queen” sensation, you have to be very critic about each picture and accept the feedback that fans and models make to you.

You are into ink art. Can you tell us more about your tats, what they mean to you. How many tats do you have, tell us their meaning.

Yeah, well as I said I love tattoos since I was 7 years old so when I was 14 I begged to my parents if I could get one, they agreed and I got wings on my back they are pretty ugly but I kind of love them just cause it was my first. After that I wait till I was 18 (cause in Mexico you get your ID at that age) and I start getting more and more tattoos. I think I have 48, maybe 50. And there are some important meanings in some, like the heel in memorial of my sister who died 3 years ago, I have a bear because of my dad, a seahorse cause my mom love them and a lot of phrases that are memos to myself like “have faith in me” on my chest or the “if you stand for nothing you will fall for anything” in the sword I have.

LGBT. Tell us more about LGBT community in your town / country, are you an activist, what was your experience trough coming out ?

Well I think LGBT it’s a big topic for me. I’m not an activist, but in some point of my life I would like to help LGBT community with my sister’story. My sister was a trans girl (male to female) and her life was awful because people in Mexico, specially in our town (Pachuca) are homophobic.  She was constantly bullied by her teachers, classmates and random people on the Street. But she was always walking with courage. And she was the reason I’m not affraid of saying “I’m gay”. I came out 2 years ago and honestly I expected drama but my parents reacted like I just said them “I like icecream”. The real grief was when my sister was a child and they had to understand what she wanted. For me it was simple, he wanted to be a girl. I don’t know why people say things like “kids can get confused”, they don’t they just understand.

What would be your advice to young girls who would like to start modeling career ?

I think the first thing is that they most not forget who they are, looks are not the only thing on them. After that just get comfy with you, with your body, your face, have fun shooting and love every movement and every way the modeling puts you in

What kind of art in general do you like ?

Well I’m a visual media student so art is a big part of my life, I guess I love ilustrations like the once from Cabeza de Platano, Cecile Dormeau, Manolo Valles, Jamie Browne… and definitely the Street art: Seher, Saner, arty y chikle, Trash Aeme, Farid Rueda, Buster… mexa power

 Any hobbies ?

Drawing, photography, and honestly I enjoy learning Mexican rap lyrics

Plans for the rest of 2017 ?

I’m planing making three sets for Suicide Girls cause my account is unactive, I hope they get accepted, and I’m crossing my fingers for Vans to get me in their “influencers team”, so I’m making more portrait shoots. Also more tattoos and I hope I get a girl friend, jajaja.
