Just be confident in exactly who you are. Don’t change for anyone or anything. No one else in this world can do you better than you. Always remember.
You will never look back on someone’s opinion 10 Year’s from now and say thank god I listened to that person. Because at the end of the day. No one else’s opinion matters but yours.
Can you tell us about your roots, about growing up?
So basically I grew up in the Latin community on the Gold Coast and Brisbane, as I am South American. My mother is Argentinian and my father is Chilean. I was born in Sydney, Australia though, it was extremely difficult growing up as it is for a lot of people and it was always me and my mum against the world until my beautiful little brother entered our lives, then it was us 3 against the world! And still is, I’d do anything for my family. They’re my world.
What was your childhood / teenage dream? What did you want to become
My childhood dream was to be a photographer, funnily enough, my whole family supported me and I guess my mind just fluttered elsewhere, I still kinda don’t know what I want to do but I do know what I’m passionate about and I continue to dabble in a lot of things.
Any idols during the teenage period?
I actually don’t think I’ve ever looked up to someone before, I kind of just have always done my own thing and loved being unique with what I do and I’ve never found anyone who portrayed that idol wise.
When did you start with modeling? Can you recall your first photo session?
Well, to be honest, my mum put me into modeling when I was about 7-8 and I hated it because it was through an agency and at that age I didn’t understand what was going on to love it, let alone like it. So it was just a weird experience but then I reconnected myself with photography when I was 17 and it’s been pretty constant ever since.
The most interesting project that you have been working so far?
I am not too sure about that one but I hope to have something brewing in the future!
You are makeup Artist. We have seen your website, it looks very professional. How did you start with makeup?
Well I got started with makeup when I finished school, yes I used to wear a smidge of makeup in high school but nothing compared to the creative stuff I do now, and thank you! I’m glad it looks professional x
Tell us more about makeup Art. Lots of people present themselves like makeup artists, but what is making “the real one”.
Yes a lot of people do consider themselves makeup artist and you can, I only considered myself one after becoming qualified and with years of experience, plus it’s my absolute passion I’d be nothing without my makeup.
Do you have to be in touch with all new product from the best makeup companies, or how does it work when it comes to your make up job.
Honestly when it comes to makeup it literally all comes down to your technique. You can have the most expensive brands on earth but that means nothing if you don’t know how to use them, you can use the cheapest products and achieve the best looks all because of your technique. And I guess when you do it as a business on others you do need to keep up with brands because that’s what clients want! They pay for that experience otherwise I don’t think people would be very interested.
Tattoos. Tell us more about them.
I have ten tattoos and some of them mean something sentimental and other I just love, I think you have to truly appreciate art and the passion that goes into tattoos to let yourself get so many. So many people hit you with the “but what does it mean” question when in actuality it’s no ones god damn business. I like art and I’m allowed to express it on my body to do so!
Implied nude / Nude photos - when have you done your first nude photo session?
I think my first full nude(implied) photo shoot was when I was 18, my mother always raised me to be confident in what I do and to love myself before anything in the world, and I took that confidence made myself into the woman I am today. Nudity is nothing sexual, nudity is and always has been an art form all the way back thousands of years. People sexualize too easily these days and it’s wrong.
How was the feeling?
One word: empowering.
Reactions from people close to you?
There is nothing anyone can say or do to make me change what ‘I’ want to do in my life. I don’t live for other I live for myself. Reactions of others are not something sought out from me.
What would be your advice to young girls who would like to start modeling career?
Just be confident in exactly who you are. Don’t change for anyone or anything. No one else in this world can do you better than you. Always remember.
You will never look back on someone’s opinion 10 Year’s from now and say thank god I listened to that person. Because at the end of the day. No one else’s opinion matters but yours.
Can you give an advice, to people in general, how not to be ashamed of their body? We have published curvy and plus size bikini & nude models, they have had a big problem with their confidence before they started to do modeling.
Please refer to my answer to the question before this one!
How do you stay in shape?
I am the worst at anything to do with exercise. I’ve probably been to the gym 3 times in my life. This is just my body. I’d like to be more fit but right now I still love my body.
What kind of art, in general, do you like?
Body art, makeup art, sculptures, and I absolutely love photo art
Any hobbies?
No, I actually don’t have any hobbies, I guess photo shoots with friends and stuff could be hobbies when it’s not for an actual job, and purely for fun
