Samantha - I find itself empowering when I do nude modelling
I personally category myself within the alternative side of modelling mainly because of my tattoos and my piercings and how I dress, outside of modelling I dress like an alternative rock chick and I listen to rock and metal music.
However, I don't only just model alternative and dark looks. I do have a massive wide range of looks available within my modelling where I do much lighter looks such as 50's vintage, pinup, cosplay, glamour, and many more to give me a variety of looks to my portfolio.
' When did you start with modeling ?'
I started modeling when I was 15 in 2014 ( I have been modelling for almost 6 years now ) while helping out some of my friends who needed models to photograph within their clothing designs that they had created in college. I ended up getting contacted by a few local photographers within Devon who wanted to collaborate with some fashion photoshoots .
I personally started modelling because I was bullied during primary and high-school. It messed up my childhood for me to the point I had left school a couple of years before everyone else did as I couldn't take it anymore. I had gone to college early instead of finishing high school to get my education and the grades I needed.
During my childhood I had a lot of people bully me including the friends I had, I would have rude horrible comments about my appearance and horrible names shouted at me all the time by people who were more within the popular crowd. During that period I had experienced a horrific situation within my life that no one should ever go through which everyone had bullied me about after they found out.
When I started modelling I felt like myself, I felt beautiful and I felt appreciated by everyone who supported me within the industry. I felt like I owned my body again and that I no longer felt 'fat' or 'ugly' like everyone had called me in school.
However It did came with a lot of negativity when I had first started modelling but over the last 5 years I have started getting more support. Modelling has really helped me gain self respect, confidence and self worth in myself after everything I had gone through in my childhood and still go through now. I've lost friends and relationships over my career within the industry to the point i've had to help myself get stronger on my own..
Ever since I had started modelling, I have had a lot of them people who had bullied me message me over the last few years trying to get at by asking about my job within the modelling industry. I've always found it disrespectful when people from my past have tried to be an ass kisser.
Once I hit 18 I had started doing lingerie and topless shoots which then tempted me into the fetish side of modelling. When I started getting into more of the higher levels of modelling, I had met a lovely bunch of models who had helped me keep myself safe within the industry.
'Alternative model - tell us more about your tats and piercings? '
My tattoos:
The four tattoos I currently have are all things I like and have a connection to I'm some way.
My corpse bride tattoo: this one is one of my favourites, it is a reminder to myself that I can stay strong while battling my mental health.
My Harley and Joker tattoo: this tattoo has no meaning to it really other then it is a twisted horror version of the characters from one of my favourite villain couples.
My predator tattoo: Not only do I love the movie and I have been a massive fan of horrors since a young age, I mainly got the tattoo for myself and my dad who has supported me and still does support me throughout each day even when my life has been at it's hardest. Therefore it was more of an appreciation tattoo for my dad as we both like the movie.
Freddy Kruger tattoo: This piece was mainly because I have loved the movie since I was younger and couldn't resist getting it tattooed on my body.
'Favorite lingerie for the photo session and in general? '
I personally love my red flowery set by ann summers as not only is it something a little different to my normally darker latex looks, it also compliments my skin colour perfectly
'You are doing nude art photo sessions. Can you tell us about the feeling to be nude in front of the camera ?'
Personally for myself, I am happy in my skin and I'm comfortable being in lingerie and being nude so I find itself empowering when I do nude modelling. I still have the decency to cover myself up when the camera isn't taking images to make the experience less awkward and more professional.
'Explicit nude and cam modeling. Tell us more about this part of your job because we think that people have a very wrong impression of nudity and cam modeling. '
I had started the cam girl side of the industry when I started doing more raunchy topless and nude modelling at the age of 18. I had no where to put the images onto other then my modelling portfolio on Purpleport.
Lots of my followers on my Instagram and Facebook were asking to see the uncensored versions which lead me to wanting to set up a Justfor.fans account to share them images onto, after a couple of months on the site I had started feeling more comfortable on creating content that was requested upon.
I have now been using Justfor.fans as a safe platform to sell my adult photoshoot images for just over a year now, you can find my account by searching Model_samantha into the site.
'Reaction from people around you when you started to do nude photos and cam modeling ?'
I first told my family I was modelling mid-way through 2019, They had suspected it by the fashion photos they saw on my Facebook a few years before however, they weren't fully aware of the extent of my modally career.
The reaction I got from my family wasn't the best but they still support me within both modelling and my content, they don't wish to see anything other then Fashion modelling photos which are understandable as no family should see their family members within that way.
I have had past lovers and partners leave over the adult content and they have tried to control me within my content and my modelling job. The past partners attempted to control within the aspect of trying to tell me what I could or couldn't do, even when they knew that I was doing both the content and the modelling before they had got with me and they refused to respectfully set boundaries with me regarding it.
Therefore I can say that I haven't had the most supportive network around me within my career path.
'Working in duo - tell us about that experience ?'
I've worked with loads of amazing beautiful talented models over the past few years who all had helped me within my journey in one way or another.
I personally love working with other models who have the same experience as me as it means both me and the other model put the same amount of effort into the shoot.image and working with other models who want to achieve the best Images. However I have had a lot of bad experiences within duo shoots where I had been multiplied into doing levels and ideas I didn't agree to shoot by the models, I have even had a few situations where the models have treated me horrible during shoots.
'Can you give any advice to all the girls/guys who would love to do nude photos or to become a cam model,'
I could write hours wroth of advice but I choose to involve the advise within my mentoring shoot packages within my cam girl and modelling starter packages - mainly because of the reason that past people have not taken on board the advice I had given.
The advise I will give to anyone who is looking to getting into either modelling or the sex work industry is to please educate yourself, before you step into an industry that not only has good experiences but has a lot of bad aspects to it as well . It's not just standing in front of a camera having photos taken of you :) It involves a lot of hard work and creativity.
Google about the industry, contact professional models and photographers for help and advise. Ask professional models if they have shoot packages where you can pay them for their help and guidance to get you started.
The most important thing is to always keep yourself safe, tell people where you are going, where your shoot is and who your shoot is with, the reason for this is because there is some dodgy photographers out there.
Don't worry about the negative that will come with the industry, Only do the shoots you are comfortable with. Set yourself boundaries of what you will and won't shoot.
Most importantly every job has the jealous people in the background, Just ignore them and block them as it's easier to show them that they aren't affecting you.
