Autumn - Modelling was the birth of my confidence

I would describe my career so far as spontaneous. I worked harder than I had ever worked before at the beginning of my career and I still do, It’s brought me things I never thought I would be doing. I’ve been involved in tv work, including being cast on MTVs true love or true lies, flown out to model for a music video in Cyprus. I've featured in a fashion show. Shot with a jewelry brand, crisp brand, many clothing brands, and also had my image published. These are all the process of leading up to something great.

Can you remember, when you used to be a teenager, what did you want to be when you grow up?

Thinking back to my teens I was always into creative work I loved art and drama the most. With art and drama there was no rules and I always was a rebellious kid. I definitely felt more free in the drama side of things I have a big energy and still am the loudest in the room.

When did you start to think about modeling and when have you done your first photo session?

Modelling was defiantly Something I admired from a distance at first. Drama didn’t work out for me and I was sat down with my family applying to websites for jobs mostly acting. I had a very quick response from a company in London that helped produce strong portfolios and help towards modelling work. At this point, I was 19 I was kicked out of college and had nothing to lose so I went straight up. I didn’t have much fear at that age I was hungry for it at this point so nothing was going to stop me.

Can you recall the feeling during the photo session? What was the theme of the photo session?

I remember feeling very out of place. Growing up I never saw models that looked like me. Especially as small as me with my body shape. I’m from a very white area in the countryside of Cornwall in the U.K. so I had to deal with my hair and body type viewed as ugly. But me being the rebellious kid I wanted to prove everyone that actually yes I can do this and in hope that I would find somewhere that would accept me for me. The shoot went so well we went through different changes such sportswear to streetwear.

When have you decided that you will continue with modeling?

From that moment forward I knew that I wanted to continue with modelling. This was my first ever shoot and I definitely saw a side of myself that I never had done before. I always had people telling me I was wasting my time, I would never make money out of it or that I wasn’t right for that kind of work. But of course, me being my rebellious self I set out to prove them wrong. My first ever booking was a commercial shoot which was paid. From then I was getting booked by clothing brands and being asked to model for music videos and I was earning more money than my 9-5.

How would you describe your modeling career so far?

I would describe my career so far as spontaneous. I worked harder than I had ever worked before at the beginning of my career and I still do, It’s brought me things I never thought I would be doing.  You have a lot of bikini and lingerie photo sessions - are those your favorite styles?

I would say I’m more known for my bikini lingerie styles of shooting. Being from a very white area I never saw people around me with my body type this turned into resentment towards my body. Modelling really was the birth of my confidence. I look back to my first shoot and I looked so reserved and now I feel the most free in fewer clothes. It’s not about looking or feeling sexy to me. I could feel sexy in a bin bag it’s all in the eyes.

Latex photo session was amazing - can you tell us more about that?

My latex photos were shot in Bristol. I play around with styles as I wouldn’t say I have a particular set style. I like to show off my ability to achieve different looks I tend to Chanel this through changing my hair. But for this particular shoot, I wanted to achieve the dominatrix look. I love how powerful the images are they really made me feel like the most powerful bitch. It represents how I feel about myself and the need to be in control and on top of my life.

What kind of photo sessions you have not done but you would like to do?

The kind of photoshoot style I’m looking to get into would be more editorial images. I would like to create high fashion images and it is something that I am working on so that would be something to look out for. This would also tie in with my plans for 2020. Lockdown has given me a lot of time to think and manifest what I want next. So no door is closed really.
