The photographer must have a clear idea about what he is trying to achieve and show. Yes, it is underrated, I guess. The audience is in many cases unable to see the difference between ordinary nude pictures and artful nude. They just say my god, you're nude! And then I have to explain that it's art.
I grew up in a small town in East Flanders, Belgium. Where life was 'normal'. Among ordinary, hard working people. My teenage dream was that I wanted to achieve something substantial for others. To have importance. To be remembered. I had no idea in what way back then. When I was a teenager I liked to be the babysitter for the neighbors. That took most of my time apart from attending school.
I always fantasized about having a stylish and sexy shoot with beautiful pictures as a result, just for myself. I met someone with experience and he knew a good photographer with whom I had my first shoot. I was nervous but the result was more promising than I had imagined. It was the start of modeling for a whole range of photographers. Some were good, some were quite bad. I started my website elisevanvlaanderen.com and decided to make behind-the-scenes videos of my photo shoots. And so the better photographers started to get in touch with me.
I am an open-minded person and very interested in the fantasies of normal people. That's how I started a series of videos about 'Hidden Fantasies', in which I stepped into the fantasies of all kinds of people. They were very well received and got a lot of attention online. One was about balloon-fetish, another about paint-fetish and one was about the fantasy of myself: bondage and mummification. I like to cross my own boundaries. Stepping out of my comfort zone.
My work is my hobby, really. It takes all of my time.
I love the hit music from the Nineties and contemporary hit music. The lyrics are important to me. About films: I like to watch movies based on real events. Drama. But I can also enjoy a good scary movie.
I am lucky to have an athletic body. Sure, I do my exercises and I sometimes run. I don't eat too much, almost no candy, I hardly drink any alcohol, and all of this is enough to keep me in shape.
The most important thing is style. When the photographer is really good and his or her photos express style, then almost everything except spread legs is ok with me. There has to be the purpose.
The photos must be meaningful. The photographer must have a clear idea about what he is trying to achieve and show. Yes, it is underrated, I guess. The audience is in many cases unable to see the difference between ordinary nude pictures and artful nude. They just say my god, you're nude! And then I have to explain that it's art. But really, I think that photos in sexy and beautiful lingerie can even be more special and sexy than nude.
I love lingerie. And I buy it quite often. I take my sets along to a shoot and the photographer can choose. In that way, it's to my liking. When it's nudes I make sure that it's all been discussed before the shoot. I want to know what we are going to do, although I leave the creative process to the photographer.
I take care of my children, do my household, like any normal woman. And I spend a lot of time keeping up with contacts on Facebook and my website. That is very important. Of course, I get a lot of messages about dating and if I am into escort dates. Men will always remain men. I am open to many things but that one thing is not for sale. The rest of my time is in shoots and organizing them. Beside from that I am working on a new concept which involves High Class Erotic Dining. A lovely new project with high expectations.
I think that many readers have seen too much porn. I am not against porn, I have even directed some films. But that is something entirely different than lingerie and nude shooting. The first is explicit and focus on satisfaction. The second is meant to please the eyes and mind in another way. Often there is a theme. It can be controversial, moving, emotional, or just an exceptional way to show the feminine or male beauty and power.
That you can sit down and keep watching a photo for minutes. And even the same the next time you see it. That there is something special in the photo. Maybe because of the theme, or just the fact that it is perfect in most ways. That you see that the combination of the situation, the photographer, and the model are just right.
I want to be well-known in Belgium. As a model but also as a person who has many different aspects. Not just a picture but also a person.
