Paula - modeling, health, life

I believe confidence comes from having inner peace and being satisfied with ourselves. None of us is perfect and that’s exactly what makes us human.

We need to love our body even if it’s not perfect. Of course, we can try to develop it and makes our body look better, however, we are human and there are limits to what we can achieve.

In addition, it is very important to find a supportive environment and to avoid negativity.

We are like trees, if we are in the right soil then we can grow and flourish. Finding the right soil is like finding the right environment. Things start small then they grow.

Don’t expect to get everything right the first time. It is a process and we shall learn from it.

Accepting those elements will boost confidence, I believe.

When did you start modeling? Can you remember your first photoshoot?

My first photo shoot took place when I was 6 years young and since then I enjoyed being around the camera. However, I started thinking about it seriously in 2019, and I made it to be my 2020 resolution and I embarked on doing it in January 2020. I started publishing modelling photos on Instagram and I was contacting potential photographers who might be interested in photo shooting with me and (I was also contacted by photographers). So far I have had various photo shoots in different styles. I really enjoy the experience, and I am learning new things everyday. People might think modelling is easy, however, keeping in shape and posing in the right way are skills that one must develop on, not to forget maintaining confidence of course.

When it comes to modeling, what is your favorite style?

I like trying different styles, and I think most models should. Being open-minded, I believe, is a key to succeed in the industry. However, I find high-fashion and trendy fashion styles to be appealing

Do you like to be in charge of your outfit or do you leave it to the photographer/brand?

I like to have my touch in my outfit, and I think models should try to put their touch when they can, this what differentiate us. But I am also open to be dressed in different ways, photographers see things from a different angle and we learn from each other . In the end modelling is a business and we need to reposed to what the market wants.

How do you stay in shape?

Is a difficult question to answer in few words. But healthy food and sport is a key. I am vegan and I try to have organic food when I can, in the end we are what we eat. I try to drink lots of water, and avoid stress as much as I can. I believe being happy inside helps a lot in making the pictures looking positive. However, as a model I also work on developing my technics to reflect positivity in the picture even when not feeling it, this comes with experience and time. Physical activities are also crucial, including doing the right combination of cardio and weightlifting. I take help and advice from sport trainers and I read lots of articles about how to keep healthy.

Fashion lover - tell us more about your favorite brands & styles?

I like various brands, but especially Zara, Channel, Versace, Moschino, and Prada. I like the causality in Zara’s cloth and the elegant touch in Channel and Versace. There is a unique classic touch in Prada and I find Moschino’s style to be brave which makes me attracted to try them out too.

 Traveler?

I enjoy travelling, however, Covid makes it harder now, hopefully things will ease in the near future. I especially like the sea and the sun. I visited the Dominic Republic, Turkey, Spain, Greece and Egypt. I also find travelling interesting as it teaches us about other people cultures and it widens our views.

Can you tell us more about your detox knowledge, how to live healthy and help people to heal?

I suffered from skin eczema and creams were not helping. However, I tried to solve the problem by following a healthy plant based lifestyle. So instead of creams I thought of changing my life style and detoxing my body, which worked perfectly for me. My skin is much better now. I have Celery juice every morning in addition to a combination of different fruits. I learned a lot through this journey as not everything I used was working for my skin eczema. It is a process of trial and error, which helped me to learn a lot about my body and about how to detox my body.

Plans for 2021?

I want to increase my Instagram followers organically by reaching the audience who are interested in my style. This include working on my publicity in social media. I also want to collaborate with other models in the industry as I believe we all have a unique experience and we can share and learn from each other. I am also planning to apply for modelling agencies, participating, and attending model shows. I also want to expand my networking circle within the industry.
